OWS (Occupant Weight Sensor)

IMS has designed a strain gage based hermetic weight and pressure sensor. This sensor is fully compliant to angular and lateral misalignments as well as external torques & moments. It is well suited as a load cell for vehicle occupant weight sensing. IMS' OWS enables occupant classification performance that meets FMVSS 208 standards. The sensor can also be used to measure force and/or pressure in applications such as liquid and gas reservoir systems.

    • up to 3000 Lbs positive loading
