This year, Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS) debuted the latest in connected car technology in a 2010 Audi A5. On display at the show was the award-winning HMI platform, iLane (www.iLane.com), that delivers voice-powered, in car apps and services such as secure email, text messaging, on-demand news, sports and weather to drivers without ever having to take their eyes off the road or hands off the wheel.
Coupled with the natural voice interface was IMS’ powerful (and also award-winning) telematics platform —DriveSync, that connects drivers to their cars via an interactive driver portal and enables a variety of services including Green driving reports, Smart trip and driver behaviour dashboard and custom driver Alerts for curfew, speeding and geo-fence notifications. DriveSync currently powers usage-based insurance programs, public road-tolling programs and dynamic fleet management programs globally.
