Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. (IMS) was in attendance at the Business of Plugging In (BPI) conference, a three-day event at the hub of the automotive industry, in Dearborn, Michigan. The Hyatt Regency was the site of this year’s event that presents the future of electric vehicles by uniting leaders in automotive and new technology with utilities and researchers.
The 2011 BPI featured the Senior Director of Emerging Technology at IMS, Dr. Ben Miners. Dr. Miners provided the event with a demonstrated on how the modular IMS ecosystem will perfect the connected car experience.
The Waterloo, Ontario company’s M2M platform extends beyond the mechanical capabilities of vehicles alone to enable rich M2M applications and V2X solutions including usage-based insurance, fleet intelligence, cloud content for the car and other safety-oriented applications.
