iLane™ to Make its Debut at IFA 2006 in BerlinWireless Carriers, Distributors and Consumers Invited to see iLane Live Waterloo, ON - August 15, 2006 - Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. (IMS), a world leader in telematics and automotive safety solutions, will unveil iLane , its new hands-free and eyes-free email solution for drivers, at IFA 2006 in Berlin. IFA, the "world's largest consumer electronics trade fair", runs September 1-6, 2006. iLane is a hands-free and eyes-free, voice interactive solution that allows drivers to manage emails and online information on their handheld device or smart-phone while in transit. iLane detects the handheld device as the driver enters the vehicle, and assumes control to provide safe access to inbound information to that device. iLane notified drives as new messages arrive on their handheld, then reads the message aloud. Using voice commands, the driver can then compose a response, and reply to or forward messages. Email attachments, calendar appointments, SMS messages and phone calls are likewise managed in this safe, hands-free manner. iLane is the first mobile email solution to combine data connectivity and driver safety. Because iLane manages inbound information to their handheld, the driver doesn't need to take their hands off the steering wheel or their eyes off the road to check for new messages. With its debut at IFA 2006, iLane will be available for live demos for the first time.
