A Complete Driver Picture

IMS behavioral data helps your underwriters get a complete driver picture, to better assess their risk levels and lower the number of claims you receive. While auto insurance underwriters excel at understanding the risk of their insured drivers through demographic data, there’s always a nagging question of how their drivers really behave on the road. DriveSync Data Feeds Include:

  • Raw feeds of data elements from the in-vehicle telematics device for OBD II, GPS and accelerometer data elements
  • GIS-enabled data feeds that perform reverse geo-coding for information such as ZIP Code distribution and posted speed limit correlation
  • Summary data feeds provide Key Driving Indicators (KDI’s) such as:

Voice Enabled Emergency Calling

IMS provides a Voice Enabled Emergency Calling for drivers who need immediate roadside assistance. This is part of an intelligent system that lets the recipient know the vital signs of the vehicle before, and at the time of, the driving event. For example; hard braking or air bag deployment will provide information on what caused the event and invoke the call center to respond with possible options of assistance. Panic buttons are particularly useful for teenage drivers, older drivers, and those who are traveling outside their familiar surroundings.

Roadside Assistance

IMS has programs that notify roadside assistance and services centers, including emergency services, in real time.

Remote Vehicle Diagnostics

IMS also has programs to monitor fuel tank levels and battery health – which will be increasingly important with electric vehicles (EV), to help drivers plot a course to the nearest fuelling or service station.
