Who we are searching for:
Reporting to the COO, the newly created role of Director, Quality requires you to develop integrated corporate quality standards and practices across all departments, designing strategies and implementing operational plans to achieve quality objectives. This includes all aspects of product development and delivery, implementing and evolving a robust and effective quality process that ensures that new products, features, and functions are accurately defined and delivered to our customers.
Your role at IMS:
- Leads the definition and implementation of Corporate quality strategic plans and objectives, defining companywide quality systems and operations to drive business results.
- Develops, implements and maintains quality systems and processes in order to safeguard and guarantee the levels of quality of the company’s internal and external deliverables and products.
- Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives, making decisions on administrative or operational quality matters and ensuring quality operations’ effective achievement of objectives.
- Provides the leadership with strategic insight, directing and implementing all quality activities related to new product development, product improvement and compliance.
- Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
- Develops and manages quality metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
- Collaborates with product management to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer requirements while ensuring that product designs are well documented and communicated.
- Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
- Establishes metrics to measure the quality of products and processes.
- Manages and responds to software quality issues with related groups such as development and customer support.
Skills you bring to IMS:
- 10+ years related technology R&D experience in software quality assurance.
- Several years experience leading development and quality organizations
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle.
- Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt certification – Black Belt preferred.
- Demonstrated success in the coaching, development and overall leadership of a committed, well-aligned team that delivers results.
- A proactive self-starter with a record of accomplishment as a successful quality leader; including developing and executing well-structured and organized development strategies and solutions to enable growth and sustain excellence in customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to organize and negotiate with multi disciplinary teams in order to meet business needs.
- A strong ability to adapt to an ever changing environment and the ability to work through internal ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Ability to build positive and productive relationships with diverse groups of people; a drive for results combined with an appreciation for organizational structures and processes; thrives in a collaborative and challenging team environment.
