Dr. Robert G. Rosehart, Past President

Bob Rosehart is Past President of Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. He retired from the position of President on August 31, 2007 after having served for 10 years. He previously served for thirteen years as President and Vice Chancellor of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Canada.
Born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Bob Rosehart holds B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He was a professor of chemical engineering at Lakehead University during the 1970's, prior to beginning his administrative career as Dean of Lakehead's University Schools in 1977. His interests are in economic development, science and technology policy, and government policy.
From March 2007 until March 2008, Dr. Rosehart served with the Government of Ontario as Northwestern Ontario Economic Facilitator. On March 1, 2008, he was appointed Interim Principal of Renison College at the University of Waterloo.
